1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

When you use a game, you may type letters, words, or scrambled inputs. Those values are processed entirely in your browser to compute results. We do not transmit them to our servers.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Anonymous visitor analytics. Each browser is assigned a random visitor identifier (UUID) stored in localStorage. On every page, our beacon sends a small POST to /api/track with: the visitor ID, the page path, time spent on the page, your browser's reported language, screen size, connection type (navigator.connection.effectiveType), and the names (not values) of cookies set on this site. The server adds country/region/city as derived by Cloudflare from your IP address (the IP itself is not stored), and parses the User-Agent header into device-type, OS, and browser categories. This data is kept in our analytics database and used to render the admin dashboard. The beacon respects the Do Not Track signal — if DNT is on, no data is sent or stored.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs standard request metadata — IP address, timestamp, user agent, referring page, and response status — for security, abuse prevention, and operational reliability. Cloudflare's privacy practices are described at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Aggregate Cloudflare Web Analytics (if enabled). When enabled, Cloudflare collects privacy-preserving aggregate metrics (pageviews, referrers, country-level geo) without using cookies.

2.3 Information collected by third parties

• Google AdSense serves advertisements on this site (publisher ID ca-pub-8659253496258930). Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, including personalised advertising via the DoubleClick cookie. You can opt out at google.com/settings/ads or via aboutads.info. See our Cookie Policy for the specific cookies Google may set.
• Google Fonts. We load typefaces from Google's CDN (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). Google may log the request as described in their Fonts privacy FAQ.
• jsDelivr CDN. We load an open-source English word list from cdn.jsdelivr.net. jsDelivr may log the request as described in jsdelivr.com/terms/privacy-policy.

3. How we use information

• To run the games and tools you've requested.
• To show per-device usage statistics to the site administrator.
• To serve advertising (via Google AdSense).
• To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the Service — Cloudflare (hosting, analytics), Google (advertising, fonts), and jsDelivr (CDN) — and only to the extent necessary for those services. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Your choices

• Block cookies in your browser settings, or use private/incognito mode.
• Opt out of personalised ads at google.com/settings/ads and aboutads.info/choices.
• Disable the local beacon by enabling Do Not Track in your browser — our beacon respects it and will not record.
• Clear local storage for this site at any time via your browser's privacy settings.

7. Data retention

Local beacon data lives in your browser until you clear it. Cloudflare retains request logs per its own policy (typically days, not months). Google retains AdSense data per its own policy.

8. Children

This site is general-audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

9. International transfers

Cloudflare and Google operate globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at privacy@wordgameunscrambler.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates acceptance.
